I am far from disappointed by the Trump tax on H1B visa. As I have been pointing out for years, it benefits the US & US companies, not India. Indeed, never understood why we gave up negotiation points for them. Here is an article I published last Nov in HT https://t.co/mggqgv3Osz
From chips to ships, we must manufacture everything in India. With this vision, the country’s maritime sector is now moving towards next-generation reforms.
After discussions with the family of Zubeen Garg, #AssamCabinet has approved allotment of 10 bigha land in Kamarkuchi, near Guwahati where our #BelovedZubeen will be laid to rest on September 23.
Shocked by the sudden demise of popular singer Zubeen Garg. He will be remembered for his rich contribution to music. His renditions were very popular among people across all walks of life. Condolences to his family and admirers. Om Shanti.
BIG BREAKING 🚨 India hits back at NATO Chief over Russian Oil.
NATO Chief had threatened a 100% tariff on India for buying Russian oil.
EXTERNAL AFFAIRS MINISTRY 🔥🔥 :
"Our energy security is our top priority, guided by global realities. We strongly caution against double standards"
India rejects Western pressure & Tariff threat. No lectures.. No compromises 🔥
Democracy is in decline in the west, but thriving in India. Percentage of people who are satisfied by the way democracy is working in their country: 74% in India - among the highest in the world. @pewresearch reconfirms what we know to be true!

India ranks second, just behind Sweden, out of 23 countries in terms of the percentage of people satisfied with their democracy, according to @pewresearch’s latest survey. Amidst global uncertainty, a strong economy & effective governance have boosted India's trust in its system; and our democratic spirit; giving voice to a diverse 1.4 billion+ people; continues to energise the nation and drive our progress forward.
Stories of grief and agony. Stories that make your blood boil.
For years, our Satras and Mandirs have been attacked and encroached upon with impunity.
NOT ANYMORE. Our Satra Commission has unearthed startling facts and we're working to SECURE our Satras like NEVER BEFORE.
My New Journey:
After 45 years of dedicated government service, I have made the decision to embrace new opportunities and move forward in life. I am incredibly thankful to the Prime Minister of India for accepting my resignation as G20 Sherpa and for having given me the opportunity to drive a range of developmental initiatives and contribute to the growth, development, and progress of India.
I am grateful to all my colleagues, peers and friends for their patience, understanding, and support.
I now look forward to contributing to India’s transformational journey towards Viksit Bharat by facilitating and supporting free enterprise, startups, think tanks, and academic institutions.
Thank you all for being part of this incredible journey.

To achieve India’s ambition of becoming a global defence manufacturing hub, it is clear that the private sector must not only be a partner, but a leader in this journey.
The recently announced Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA) programme, envisioned as India’s first home-grown fifth-generation stealth fighter project, represents a watershed moment.
By opening it to competitive bidding & seeking private participation, the government is embedding efficiency & innovation, and risk-sharing in Defence Manufacturing.
My Op-ed in today’s HT.

Why Cyprus matters to India
Indian PM Modi travels to Cyprus this weekend, a visit that will further firm up age old ties. It is after over 2 decades that an Indian PM visits the Mediterranean country, the last being PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee in 2002.

UPDATE:
The pilots did issue a Mayday call right after takeoff
That means they were facing a life-threatening emergency almost immediately.
A modern 787 isn’t supposed to fail that fast.
Something went very, very wrong.
