Who is to blame ? our political leaders of the Dail, the Seanad and 31 local authorities/ county councils combined their efforts and asked us to pick one of these 3. Is this the best they could do? Very poor from Government parties FFG #TonightVMTV
We can express views until the cows come home on who did best or worst but when all the talking and debating and voting is done it’s hard to see much change from the outgoing to the incoming. New faces but that’s about it #leadersdebate

If you haven’t considered going to #12angrymen on in #bordgaistheatre then maybe do. Highly recommended. One of the greatest movies of all time adapted for stage.
Scheme makes about as much sense as that old Suzi Quattro song Can the Can ….a few words changed here and there
So make a stand for your can, honey
Try to can the can
Put your can in the can, honey
Di it while you can
Can the can
Can the can
If you can
Well can the can
The deposit return scheme should be scrapped. It penalises people who already assiduously recycle their plastic bottles and aluminium cans in the green bins which they already pay for.
Problem! Some people do not recycle, dumping cans and bottles in public waste bins or even worse, on streets, in hedgerows, on beaches or other such places.
Solution: Enter the @greenparty_ie. Introduce a charge on cans and bottles, refundable only if you bypass the recycling in your own home and return them, uncompressed, to machines that are often unreliable, wasting time and a combination of different types of energy in the process.
Result: People who toss cans and bottles in public bins, streets, hedges etc continue to do so. Bags of cans and bottles are dumped near non working machines. Many people give up and just pay the charge but recycle at home as they always did, feeling annoyed and frustrated in the meantime.
Conclusion: When the @greenparty_ie loses all its seats and has no representation in the 34th Dáil remember this as just one reason among several daft unworkable and wasteful ideas you imposed on the people of Ireland. We’ll pay your tax and continue to carefully recycle, but don’t expect us to vote for you. Perhaps you can store the return machines with the old voting machines that were also scrapped!

Makes a refreshing change. Interviews made up of a few boring cliches and saying absolutely nothing should not be aired ! Often after a big winning margin 🙂#banthesephrases
“we knew coming here it would tough “
“delighted to get over the line”
“Lots to work on”
@philipnolan1 Most people but especially younger generation need to live and have fun. Most of us did and we came to no harm. Objectors see risk of more alcohol abuse and social misbehavior. Look, if access to alcohol was completely shut down tomorrow those problems would still be there
@paulmurphy_TD Paul explain your gripe exactly. What has JP done wrong? If someone earns money outside of Ireland & then decides to spend that money in Ireland how is that bad? Surely it’s a good thing! Even better that money is distributed in a way that feeds all the way into local communities
@TicketmasterIre@coldplay Needs some level of transparency. This ticket sales process is an absolute joke and smacks of rip off. So many fans disgruntled and that includes many who actually got tickets but felt ripped off. Losing the customer is not good business !
@gavreilly So for years RTE published RT payments and neither RT or his agent spotted it was wrong. Not even once !Not ever ! Missed it covered in print or social media. Don’t believe it ! And statement saying he’s surprised. Give us a break
