๐จ BREAKING : Didier Drogba on Africans Supporting Mexico Over South Africa
"To see some Africans openly rooting against South Africa simply because of political disagreements is disappointing. Football has always been a game that brings people together, not a battlefield for political divisions.
You don't have to support South Africa just because they're African. Everyone has the right to support whichever team they like. But if your reason for supporting Mexico is purely political, then you're missing the spirit of the game.
Football should be decided by passion, respect, and what happens on the pitchโnot by governments, policies, or political arguments. For ninety minutes, let football be football.
As Africans, we can disagree on politics and still celebrate each other's achievements in sport. We don't have to turn every match into a political statement."
