🔻 THE SURGEON WHO REFUSED TO CUT: A 2024 TESTIMONY

Activist: "It's not that simple."

Farmer: "It's grass, cow, breath, grass. Or it's grass, rot, air, grass. Same circle, fewer dinners. If that's complicated for you I'd stay away from the water cycle. That one's got clouds in it."

Dit is geen toeval.
Dit is geen chaos.
Dit is geen “moderne tijd”.
Dit is strategie.
𝟭. 𝗛𝗼𝗲 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗲̈𝗲𝗿 𝗷𝗲 𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗲 𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗸𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗷𝗸𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗱? 𝗗𝗼𝗼𝗿 𝗱𝗲 𝗼𝗺𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗲𝗱𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻
Mensen zijn niet hersenspoelbaar.
Maar ze zijn wél beïnvloedbaar wanneer ze jarenlang worden overspoeld door:
– constante dreiging
– financiële druk
– dagelijkse media-alarmbellen
– politieke chaos
– angstcampagnes
– en het gevoel dat “alles elk moment kan instorten”
Wie in chronische stress leeft, verliest niet zijn intelligentie.
Hij verliest zijn innerlijke rust.
En wie geen innerlijke rust heeft, wordt afhankelijk van externe “duiding”.
Precies daar begint de manipulatie:
niet door dingen te verbergen, maar door mensen te overweldigen.
𝟮. 𝗗𝗲 𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗮 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗲̈𝗿𝗲𝗻 𝗴𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗻𝗶𝗲𝘂𝘄𝘀 𝗺𝗲𝗲𝗿 — 𝘇𝗲 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗲̈𝗿𝗲𝗻 𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗵𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴
Moderne media zijn geen informatiebron meer.
Ze zijn een perceptiemachine.
Ze bepalen niet alleen wat je hoort, maar vooral wat je nooit hoort.
Ze bepalen niet alleen wat belangrijk is, maar vooral wat je als bedreigend moet zien.
Ze bepalen niet alleen waarover je praat, maar vooral waarover je niet mag praten.
Hoe noemen we dat?
Narratiefvorming.
Hoe groter de mediaconcentratie, hoe kleiner de vrije gedachte.
En omdat mensen uitgeput zijn, slikken ze de richting mee zonder het te merken.
𝟯. 𝗗𝗲 𝗸𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗵𝘁𝗶𝗴𝘀𝘁𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰: 𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗲-𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗹𝗼𝗮𝗱
Vroeger dom gehouden door te weinig informatie.
Vandaag dom gehouden door té veel informatie.
Te veel prikkels → te weinig kritische energie
Te veel nieuws → te weinig overzicht
Te veel meningen → te weinig eigen denken
Te veel paniek → te weinig reflectie
En dus kiest de mens — puur uit overleving — voor een simpel, duidelijk verhaal dat de angst vermindert.
Dat is geen zwakte.
Dat is neurologie.
En precies daarop mikken machtsstructuren.
𝟰. 𝗛𝗲𝘁 𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗺 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿𝘁 𝘇𝗶𝗰𝗵𝘇𝗲𝗹𝗳 𝗮𝗹𝘀 𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗴𝗲 𝘃𝗲𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗲 𝗴𝗶𝗱𝘀
Wanneer mensen uitgeput zijn, willen ze geen vrijheid.
Ze willen geruststelling.
Dat is waarom:
– experts plots boven kritiek staan
– overheden meer bevoegdheden krijgen
– afwijkende stemmen worden gecriminaliseerd
– media en politiek dezelfde taal spreken
– regelgeving steeds dieper in privéleven binnendringt
– groeiende controle wordt verkocht als “bescherming”
Wie bepaalt wat veiligheid betekent, bepaalt het gedrag van de bevolking.
Dat is macht op het hoogste niveau.
𝟱. 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗲 𝗱𝗿𝘂𝗸 𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗱𝘁 𝗱𝗲 𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗲 𝗴𝗲𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗶𝘀 𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗵𝘁
Het meest geniale?
Mensen gaan elkaar controleren.
Niet omdat ze slecht zijn.
Maar omdat niemand uitgesloten wil worden.
En dus:
– herhalen mensen wat ze denken dat “normaal” is
– vermijden ze gevoelige onderwerpen
– vallen ze andersdenkenden aan
– verdedigen ze narratieven die ze nooit zelf onderzocht hebben
– doen ze zich sterker, zekerder en overtuigder voor dan ze zijn
Zo ontstaat een kunstmatige consensus die niet door overtuiging komt, maar door angst voor sociale straf.
Dat is geen manipulatie van individuen.
Dat is manipulatie van groepen.
𝟲. 𝗩𝗶𝗷𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗻 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗻 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝗹𝗯𝗲𝘄𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗴𝗲𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗲̈𝗲𝗿𝗱
Een geest die bang is, zoekt houvast.
Een bevolking die bang is, zoekt een schuldige.
En dus worden er steeds nieuwe vijandbeelden gelanceerd:
Critici.
Wetenschappers die afwijken.
Burgers die te veel vragen stellen.
Groepen die “in de weg” zitten.
Buitenlandse figuren die zogezegd “alles saboteren”.
De vijand is nooit het punt.
De vijand is het middel.
Angstcement houdt de mentale constructie bij elkaar.
𝟳. 𝗪𝗮𝗮𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗵𝗲𝘁 𝘇𝗼 𝗴𝗲𝘃𝗮𝗮𝗿𝗹𝗶𝗷𝗸 𝗶𝘀 𝗱𝗮𝘁 𝗯𝗶𝗷𝗻𝗮 𝗻𝗶𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗱𝗶𝘁 𝘇𝗶𝗲𝘁
Omdat mentale manipulatie het enige wapen is dat onzichtbaar werkt.
Je voelt het niet.
Je merkt het niet.
Je denkt dat jouw mening telt.
Terwijl jouw mening zorgvuldig werd gevormd door omstandigheden die jij niet gekozen hebt.
Dat is wat deze tijd zo uniek maakt:
de manipulatie gebeurt niet via één leider, één partij of één oorlog — maar via een volledig ecosysteem van prikkels dat jouw psyche stap voor stap in een richting duwt.
En dat ecosysteem noemt men vandaag: “de normale wereld”.
𝟴. 𝗪𝗮𝘁 𝗻𝘂?
De mentale gevangenis gaat niet open door informatie.
Niet door feiten.
Niet door discussies.
Ze gaat open wanneer mensen opnieuw:
– rust krijgen
– afstand nemen
– leren wantrouwen zonder cynisch te worden
– durven twijfelen
– stoppen met reageren op angst
– stoppen met conformisme
– en denken vóór ze voelen, in plaats van andersom
Het systeem zal dit niet stoppen.
Het profiteert ervan.
De enige vraag is:
Wie durft nog buiten het frame te kijken, terwijl bijna iedereen erin leeft?

Do You Really Know Your Politicians? Most of Them Voted for Mercosur — Now They Act Like Its Opponents

Across Europe, tractors block highways and farmers surround government buildings. From Warsaw to Prague, from Ljubljana to Sofia, politicians suddenly present themselves as defenders of local agriculture, condemning the EU–Mercosur trade agreement as a threat to national food security.

But voting records tell a different story.

In recent months, the European Parliament and EU institutions approved key steps that allowed the Mercosur agreement with Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay to move forward. The resolution enabling the process passed with support from the mainstream political blocs that dominate national governments across Central and Eastern Europe.

In Poland, the majority of MEPs from Civic Platform (PO), Law and Justice (PiS), and the Polish People’s Party (PSL) backed the resolution that advanced the deal. Only representatives of Confederation (Konfederacja) voted consistently against it. Yet today, politicians from both PiS and PO appear at farmers’ protests declaring their opposition to Mercosur.

In the Czech Republic, MEPs from ANO, ODS, and the liberal STAN movement supported the framework that allowed the agreement to proceed. Publicly, these same parties now claim the deal must be blocked to protect Czech farmers.

In Slovakia, votes from SMER-SD, Hlas, and parts of the liberal opposition helped sustain the EU’s trade mandate. Prime Minister Robert Fico now criticizes Brussels for ignoring national interests, despite his party’s earlier parliamentary alignment with the process.

In Bulgaria, MEPs from GERB and the liberal Democratic Bulgaria faction voted in favor of the resolution, while later condemning Mercosur once protests erupted at home.

In Croatia and Slovenia, governing parties likewise supported EU trade policy in Brussels, only to distance themselves politically once farmers took to the streets.

The contradiction is striking. Across Slavic EU states, the same political forces that enabled Mercosur through parliamentary votes now portray themselves as its critics. What was framed in Brussels as a technical trade procedure is now rejected at home as a political betrayal.

The European Commission, under Ursula von der Leyen, continues to argue that Mercosur is necessary for geopolitical diversification and economic stability. But agricultural organizations warn that the deal will expose European farmers to competition from producers operating under weaker environmental and labor standards. Beef, poultry, sugar and soy imports from South America could undercut already strained rural economies.

This disconnect has triggered a crisis of trust.

Farmers watching politicians pose beside burning hay bales are asking a simple question: if you opposed this agreement, why did you vote for it?

The Mercosur case reveals a deeper problem in European governance. Trade policy is negotiated behind closed doors, while national leaders campaign as if they had no role in shaping it. When public anger explodes, responsibility dissolves into speeches and symbolism.

As one of the deal’s most vocal critics, @JkmMikke Janusz Korwin-Mikke warned:
“Mercosur will destroy what COVID lockdowns couldn’t.”

Whether exaggerated or not, his words capture the growing sense that Europe’s political class approved policies it is now unwilling to own.

The Mercosur vote was not an accident. It was a political decision — taken quietly in Brussels and denied loudly at home.

And now, as farmers flood the streets, Europe’s voters are beginning to connect the two.
