It has been a joy to look back at some of the highlights from this year's festival. Once again, thank you to everyone who joined us and made it along to some of 112 buildings, 60 events and 35 trails which made up #GDODF 2024.
See you again next year!
✨️Thank you to everyone who came out on a cold and misty evening yesterday to celebrate the exceptional volunteers, participants, funders, and partners who made the 35th edition of Glasgow Doors Open Days Festival such a success at Glasgow City Chambers!

LET GLASGOW'S FOOTBALL HERITAGE FLOURISH.
These three nuggets were invited to a reception at Glasgow City Chambers to celebrate our contribution to this years @Glasgowdodf festival.
This years theme was diversity & diaspora. Our mission was, and is, to tell the lovely folks of Glasgow & beyond about our Scotch Professors who travelled the globe, set up shop and brought our invention - football - to the world. They set the pathways for world champions, elite competitions, rule making, equipment, GOATS and provided us with endless stories and happy memories.
Our beautiful game only exists because other folks welcomed us in. I would always advise you to open your door. 🌳🐦🔔🐟
TAE THE BAW THAT'LL NEVER BURST. ⚽️
We're always very happy to welcome visitors to Arlington Baths each year for @Glasgowdodf so it's lovely to be in the City Chambers to meet people from many historic buildings in #Glasgow with ideas & inspiration on more ways to share the #ArchitecturalHeritage of our city.
A huge thank you to everyone who visited #GDODF 2024, we hope you enjoyed exploring Glasgow’s architectural and cultural heritage this week as much as we did!
Stay tuned as we share more highlights from the festival over the next few weeks.
🌟That’s A Wrap! 🌟
Over the past seven days more than 100 buildings, 50 events and 30 trails came together to make Glasgow Doors Open Days Festival 2024 happen and we are delighted with the response we have had to the festival and its theme.
Out and about for @ICE_engineers' guided walk of Glasgow's over the Clyde for @Glasgowdodf. 🌉
Something I hadn't really considered til now: 𝘸𝘩𝘺, 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘯 & even 𝘩𝘰𝘸 each one was made to span the river all has a story to tell about the city and its priorities of the time.
I enjoyed leading an historical walking tour of Springburn Park for @Glasgowdodf
I was joined by one of Scotland's best conservation-accredited structural engineers, Ben Adam, from @NarroAssociates to talk about his recent condition survey of the Winter Gardens for @SpringburnWG
