18 U.S. Code § 248 - (Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act)  makes it a federal crime to
Subd.(2)- by force or threat of force or by physical obstruction, intentionally injures, intimidates or interferes with or attempts to injure, intimidate or interfere with any person lawfully exercising or seeking to exercise the First Amendment right of religious freedom at a place of religious worship.

Subd.(a)(2) was specifically written in this bill to address a rise in disruptions and violence targeting religious institutions; it is as valid and enforceable as Subd. (1)(a).
No precedence is required for prosecution because it is a direct execution of statutory language written for this specific purpose.

I incorrectly used "handgun" instead of "pistol"; thanks for catching that!
MN Permit to Carry holders may open carry pistols in public, non-prohibited places.
MN Statute 624.714's definition of "pistol" includes firearms "having a barrel or barrels of a length less than 18 inches in the case of a shotgun or having a barrel of a length less than 16 inches in the case of a rifle".
MN statue 624.7181 subd.1(b)(3) states the prohibition of carrying shotguns or rifles in public does not apply to legal permit holders.
