I was asked how I scale a shitcoin trading account.
In general, if you can’t turn a small amount into a large amount then you’ll only turn a large amount into a small amount.
The catch is you will likely piss away the account if you start small enough to not care.
So, start with the smallest amount that still matters to you.
Has to be just enough to still care.
Then play conservative to start, meaning don’t risk the entire account on each play and be more selective than usual.
Also, avoid being late. Try to be early or nothing. If you missed the boat, wait for the next one.
Be patient, wait for something that you think is obvious and is still very early.
Set a low TP algo to derisk yourself ASAP on each play until you build up your bankroll.
As your bankroll increases, DO NOT UP YOUR TRADE SIZE.
Instead, play equally as conservative in terms of selectivity and early entry but consider changing your TP algo for higher EV.
In fact never size up, ever.
Always play small, be selective and be early to enter or do not enter at all.
As your skill in selectivity and being early proves itself, set higher and higher TP algos when appropriate.
Let your increased bankroll justify less capital efficiency in each flip by setting higher take profit targets but do not use more bankroll to justify sizing up.
Once you scale the account to a figure that you consider an uncomfortable amount to manage. Start over.
Do not continue to trade that account.
In fact, off-ramp a good amount, wait a week, buy something IRL. Then reset psychologically.
Start over, and start with the smallest amount that still matters to you.
If you have a new amount that is the smallest amount that still matters, that is as far as you will up your size.
Rinse and repeat.
You’re basically scaling within your psychological limits.
You scale from the smallest amount that matters to the smallest amount that makes you uncomfortable.
Your goal is to grow psychologically.
