18 years ago today, February 26, 2008, I was on a train to Stamford, Connecticut where I would have one last supper with WFB before he passed away the next day while writing his last book as I practiced for a piano recital at his house that would never happen.

It was the culmination of a friendship that began with a thank you letter I wrote to him in 1994. I offered him a piano recital to thank him for his role as a Cold Warrior and for standing against Anti-Semitism.

I am forever grateful to him for his friendship, mentorship and for changing the course of my life.

@Jasminesta36195 @BasilTheGreat The uk population is 75-80% white, 9-10% Asian, 3-4% Black & 3-4% Mixed ethnicity. I’m not sure how you split a pundit panel of 2-4 pundits to meet the outcome you want. Football has tons of players of all races, they are there based on merit and not DEI.

@GaryRWard I wonder what Ange would have done without, Solanke, Maddison, Kulu and Son. He would still be playing high line, inverted fullbacks, but with the goals stripped out of the team. I don’t know the answer, but I’d imagine it would not be pretty.

@AgeofAnge @josh_wiggan By this logic, how well did Ange do with Nuno’s team at Forrest? Forest got to the semi final in the FA Cup. Were knocked out by Newcastle in the 2nd round of the EFL. Ange lost to Swansea 3-2 this year. Forrest were 8th after 8 games, Ange dropped them to 17th this season.
