HANA-based source code searching can't always be turned on so I often use program RS_ABAP_SOURCE_SCAN to search for strings in #ABAP code. This new checkbox in S/4HANA 2023 is a small but much appreciated enhancement.
@wridgeu Version 2 (using sorted table and FILTER) and Version 3 (if you prefer more of the older syntax but want to avoid using an exception for controlling program flow)
@mattharding This hurts me every time I need to raise a SAP Case/Incident. (5 Cases this week already π)
I don't *want* to create a separate Word document and attach it...
@jasper_07@njames I guess it depends what "on S/4HANA" means... Does it mean all systems or does it mean at least one system?
If some of those customers have other non-S/4HANA systems in their landscape then the 16% number hides even bigger problem.
@mattharding If you're asking about upgrading one S/4 version to another S/4 version within PCE then there's not a lot of difference for developers, in my experience.
@mattharding It's probably my inexperience but I still find the EML syntax a bit awkward. It doesn't flow naturally and I find myself reaching for the doco quite often.
I don't want to be too negative though as I like many of the RAP concepts.
@jasper_07 Only looked at it briefly but I like the way the "map" tries to clarify and then quantify people's assumptions. I could see it leading to some "discussions" when opinions differ.
