We are in the midst of a far worse political and humanitarian crisis than Germany was in the 1930s. We ignore it at our own peril… UNITED WE STAND https://t.co/jledLHCF5c via @YouTube
A madman has control of the most powerful military in the history of the world and the leaders of his party are too afraid to say or do anything to stop him.
🚨MAJOR BREAKING: JD Vance doubles down on Trump’s Truth Social post threatening “a whole civilization will die tonight” and even implies Trump might use nuclear weapons.
This is a dark day in American history. Trump needs to be removed.
In an age of creeping relativism, a universal moral law still exists.
Threatening to end an entire civilization of 90 million people in order to bend a nation’s conduct to your will is grossly morally wrong. It is evil. And we should say this loudly.
WATCH: “Now do white people.”
@WilliamLamberth lashes out at @VoteGloriaJ and calls her “racist” 🤔for pointing out 98% of Tennessee crimes were NOT committed by undocumented immigrants — as he tries to pretend their Stephen Miller slate of hate isn’t aimed at brown people.
Raskin: I heard one of our colleagues across the aisle just say, “Well, yes, Article I, Section 8, Clause 11 does give Congress the exclusive, plenary, comprehensive power to declare war and not the president. And we could be debating it, but the president has already taken us to war, so it’s too late. It would undermine the cause for us to debate it.”
What a humiliating, self-defeating argument for a member of the Article I branch of Congress to be making. Don’t you understand? That destroys our power to declare war if any president can plunge us into a war and thereby defeat our exclusive, plenary power over it—
🔥 @RepRoKhanna: “Free public college for all would cost 10% of the defense budget — Instead of blaming undocumented immigrants for the cost, how about blaming defense contractors? Billionaires not paying enough taxes? A system that refuses to invest in health & education?”
Working Tennesseans deserve a break. Corporate greed has pushed so many families to the limit. We need to crack down on these tax-cheating, price-gouging corporations — not give them another tax cut.
Marsha Blackburn voted to let federal childcare funds expire in September. Now rates are going up, providers are closing down, and early childhood educators are struggling. So much for all her talk about being "pro-children."
@MarshaBlackburn How much taxpayer-funded time do YOU and YOUR staff spend with gun, big pharma, and Putin lobbyists? THAT is critical information for Tennessee VOTER oversight.
trumpers keep telling me "ah, you're just going after trump because you're afraid he'll win," which is way up there with some of the dumbest shit I've ever heard.
1. First, President Biden has beaten him already. Badly. By 7 million votes. And that was BEFORE he racked up an historic number of jobs, and did infrastructure, brought back manufacturing to the US, and lowered insulin prices for Americans.
2. Even without all of the indictments, without even one, trump is severely damaged goods. In fact, he's probably the weakest candidate that President Biden could face.
And I'm saying that in a world where Nikki Haley and Mike Pence are still running for some reason.
3. Most of us still believe that law and order matters. That when the law is broken, there are consequences. And trump broke A LOT of laws. Shit, he's the guy who infamously bragged that his supporters are so lawless and stupid, he could shoot someone on 5th Avenue and not lose any votes.
And so far, those cultish trumpers have proven him right. No amount of tape recordings, video surveillance, testimony from people HE HIRED, none of it will shake them.
But they don't determine what laws get followed and which laws don't count "because you're famous."
He's never won the popular vote, he's been impeached twice, and he's been indicted 3 times (soon to be 4 times).
It's not because he's an asshole, and he is a trumptanic asshole. AGAIN, it's because he's an out-of-control walking crime factory. A fucking judge had to tell him not to threaten anyone and what did he do? Exactly that.
So I'm not saying it's impossible for him to win against President Biden, because we've already lived through 2016.
But him facing consequences has nothing to do with any fear of him winning, I worry more about other candidates Republicans could run.
I want trump to face all of the legal consequences for his actions because he has skated through life thinking he is above the law, done things the rest of us would already be in prison for, and it's time for him to get his legal comeuppance.
And yeah, also because he's a racist, rapist, insurrectionist motherfucker.
@MarshaBlackburn I gotta say, @MarshaBlackburn, you are getting pretty darn good at gaslighting! Nobody in Tennessee would pay more for student loan debt relief than they already pay for big oil subsidies and the revenue gap from ridiculously low taxes on billionaires. You clearly hate education!

I am truly baffled that @BillLeeTN didn’t even include in the call for special session the ability to ban assault weapons or limit magazine capacity. God forgive him for his lack of courage,
@kylenabecker It’s still so funny to me that MAGA minions seriously think Democrats are capable of orchestrating a national level conspiracy to rig a presidential election. And that Trump is just a sweet, gullible victim. And that we’re all just idiots. It’s a pathetically laughable argument.
