@cwellmon I was at UVa in 1989 when we built a shanty town on the Lawn in front of the Rotunda to campaign for divestment. The next morning at 6am, the head of the Board of Visitors showed up for a conversation. No riot police, no attack dogs, just an adult conversation.
@GovMurphy Bravo! I wish my state governor in South Carolina had stood up for me in 1983. My planned speech was much more boring, but it was unfair for me to be denied the right to speak because my principal feared my opinions.
@doordash You just sent me a lie by email with subject "Action Required: Important Information Regarding Your DoorDash Account" -- are your growth hackers out of control or what?
@conzept__@internetarchive Glad you like it! I love your tool https://t.co/vNbCzhBFQP, that's exactly the kind of knowledge exploration service I was hoping would use a lot of tools like mine!
Now I have to learn 6 string. And you know what? There's exactly one song I want to learn: your rant. And I'll learn 2 Renaissance grounds along the way! WIN-WIN.
@RobPRocks I played 'cello in grade school and it turns out that I don't like the Classical Period of Classical Music, so now I do early music: viola da gamba, double reeds, hammer dulcimer. A friend gave me a 6 string for Xmas, which is about like giving me a puppy...
@chrome8383 No, not currently. I fake it by rerunning the crawl after turning the old crawllog into seen urls and the frontier into additional seeds. BTW I don't actually use twitter, better to create github issues or email me.
@stewart__dennis How do I unsubscribe from all emails from @bitbounce ? I got spam from you but the unsubscribe appears to not be from ALL @bitbounce emails.
@fijall@jbaiter_ @giovannidamiola @atomotic@pypyproject Well, I got it to run a little, and it dumped core in a variety of places. But to be fair, I've been reporting a lot of bugs in aiohttp, too! And debugging python coredumps is a new thing to me, so, ...
@fijall@jbaiter_ @giovannidamiola @atomotic@pypyproject The stuff I was reading on the Internets was not positive about that. I fully admit to being ignorant about pypy, never used it.
@jbaiter_ @giovannidamiola @atomotic@pypyproject Cocrawler is a heavy user of aiohttp and thus asyncio, so I don't think pypy works for it yet. The main win is from avoiding work. Eventually it will appreciate pypy reducing some of the overhead. Already I can run at > 1 gigabit and > 1,000 pages/sec on one medium-sized node.
