As we get closer to 2026 (and 2028), we’re probably going to see a lot more of this from Democrats.

While it can be tempting to believe their views may finally be changing, people should keep in mind that this is almost certainly just empty lies to make themselves appear more moderate for the elections.

As long as these Democrats are all talk and no action on trans issue, then people shouldn’t actually take them seriously.

People should also vote for Dems like Newsom at your own risk. It’s highly likely that after the elections, (and especially if they actually win) they’ll just go back to supporting trans issues. So if you’re actually considering voting for a Democrat just because they admit trans in women’s sports is “unfair”, keep in mind, you may be falling for a trap.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom says an interview with Shawn Ryan that he thinks the issue of gender-transition medical interventions hurt Democrats in the November election. He expresses reservations about medical transitions for younger minors in particular.

He expresses ambivalence over the science backing gender-transition treatments for children, and airs his frustration over how contradictory the different factions are who weigh in on this scientific issue.

"It is a major problem for the Democratic party," Newsom of trans issues.

It will be interesting to see how the expected legal challenge plays out.

Given that there’s not much time until the election, I imagine there may only be enough time for one lower courts ruling.

Any appeals would likely be pushed beyond the election at which point they would be kinda pointless

It’s more likely due to the recent risk of billing fraud lawsuits particularly after the “Wolves in White Coats” report since that could actually lead to criminal charges unlike med mal lawsuits.

Plus the risk of med mal laws has existed for years and that never stopped them before…

These particular doctors are likely WPATH members though since they’re prescribers of the treatments. And WPATH has been essentially discredited for years, yet they didn’t stop until Trump started threatening to criminally prosecute for billing fraud.

So idk why they’d suddenly stop now because of WPATH if the WPATH files and all the other revelations about WPATH before weren’t enough to stop them…

OP said if doctors wanted to go back they would’ve done so by now and asked what the doctors are afraid of. I answered because they article makes it clear what their afraid of and why they don’t want to go back as of now.

Whether people agree with their explanation is a separate question…

Tbh after reading the study it surprisingly doesn’t seem that bad for puberty blockers? Or at least, given that the study initially went intentionally unpublished, I was expecting it to be way more egregious and be entirely negative towards the drug.

But it surprisingly played both sides. Like, in addition to saying there was “no clinically significant improvement in mental health”, it also said there were improvements in other areas which makes me a little bit surprised Olsen-Kennedy was so against publishing it…
