@thegirlfriendxo I feel like, as a cis woman, I wouldn’t maybe use that term to describe someone. But if my trans friends use it to talk about themselves or other friends I wouldn’t even question it. Does that make sense?
@itsmetess@heardsstan@Bowl_of_Worcel I’m fairly certain “Almost Famous” was a play on real underage girls that were groupies. Not her specifically but girls like her.
I am of course speaking as “a girl like that”. I wanted some representation of a quirky weirdo getting dicked down by a traditionally hot man that worshiped her. Is that so hard to ask for?
Sexual harassment at the work place aside.
I find this relationship hard to watch now because it was always known that they would NEVER get together. And it was because it was always understood that a girl like her could never be with a guy like that.
And the writers never even dared to go there. Despite their clearly sexual relationship they would always remain platonic. Girls like that would only be paired with doofy guys and they would never get to have a hot sexy guy that worships them.
@bigfatmoosepssy @cillianayos My sister in law is also an ex Mormon and wrote her masters thesis on single Mormon women and how their sexuality is treated. If anyone is interested it’s quite fascinating!

@C5H4N4O2 I haven’t had my fall one yet but the nurse blew my mind on the last one. I told her my symptoms after my shots have all been so bad and she asked me what I had which was moderna. She said that that one seems to cause more side effects to certain people so she gave me phizer.
We just moved to this town and I guess the house had been empty for years. A few of my neighbours came over and thanked me for decorating because it also pushed my neighbour to decorate more and his neighbour. Once you become “the house” on the block others will follow.
@justfara @vantablackbitch My food bank gives ziplocks of sugar and coffee or tea each month. Baby formula is also a lovely donation! And actually if everyone donated a box of Halloween candy this month it’s good for a treat for the kids.
Sorry. I love Miss Regina George but I took one look at this when I was 13 and was like “wow why did they put her in a wig?” What sort of bang purgatory is this?
Ok I remember before Gangnam Style my co worker from Korea was trying to tell me about Psy. She said “he’s like…Lady Gaga but not quite as serious. He’s very weird. Wears weird outfits and sings weird songs but we love him.” And I think about that all the time.
