@akoustov I think the economics of knowledge is leading to a separation of two functions that now live in the same person: 1) knowledge production (research) and 2) dissemination (teaching).
Typical attitude of bad philosophers. The Vorwort of Frege shows a very different one: «This ideography,
likewise, is a device invented for certain scientific purposes, and one must not condemn it because it is not suited to others". One way of philosophizing among others. The supremacy is personal, yours only.

@PAHoyeck Exactly. Everything is ad hoc in that. I would have asked him: what do you mean by 'Alles was her Fall ist', because nothing of that is evident. Logically intricate, yes, but philosophically superfluous.
@PAHoyeck I've read a lot of explanations, but are pretty ad hoc. The point is that 'Die Welt ist alles was der Fall list' is just a beautiful phrasing of a dubious principle. A smart guy playing logical tricks. That's why he suggests dropping the ladder.
@PAHoyeck You didn't answer. I know what it says, but if it is verified within the book it's a circular reasoning (a consequent fallacy if you want). Have you wondered what happened if it false?
