My longtime Instagram account @glnnrys was suddenly disabled because Meta says I’m under 13. I’m an adult and have previously verified my identity with Meta.

No warning, no working appeal, and no way to correct my age.

I’ve found other Meta Verified users reporting sudden disables linked to Meta’s AI support/recovery issues.

I can’t confirm mine is related, but the false under-13 age makes me wonder.

After all of that, Meta support told me the decision to permanently disable the account is “finalized.”

I’m an adult. This is an age verification error. How can the decision be final when there’s no functioning way for me to verify my actual age?

@kornbuilds @andymstone I think I may have been affected by something similar. My longtime IG was suddenly disabled over a false age determination after possible signs of compromise. Meta support hasn’t been able to help. Is there a team I could reach out to?
