One thing I learnt from reading about the various fiascos of Air India, since it went private & their simultaneous bragging of How they are pioneers of the use of AI is this.

Any use of AI over a layer of stupidity, only enhances that stupidity. It doesn't remove it.

The best part about the schedule / reschedule / postpone / prepone saga of Air India was the explanation that the customer guy gave for this to and fro.

He said, the postponement message was sent by their technical team which was working on the aircraft, then they realized the problem wasn't that acute, so they brought the timing forward.

Which makes me wonder, are they running an Airline, a local town bus or hyperlocal share auto?

Because the other two are more organized than Air India

The way @RNTata2000 companies are handling things for aviation employees and especially for pilots as I know, nothing right is going on for them. Losing respect for Tata group slowly. Replacing good thing with a bad seems to be a NORM. Aviation is not a child’s play, it’s a serious business of keeping people in the field happy. Unfortunately those deciding and sitting in offices cannot fly, or they would have done away with pilots altogether. 😊 And they have global aspirations. Wonder who advices them?

Pilot tensions simmering over in Vistara. Delhi alone on Tuesday saw 6 cancellations and this morning 6 flights delayed, with some facing upto 3 hours of delays. First Officers said to be reporting sick in large nos after it was announced mid- Feb that Air India’s salary structure will apply to UK too. FO’s taking a hit of Rs 80k to Rs 1.40 lakh per month. Merger pains.
