This month officially kicked off #LimitBreak 2026, an amazing mentorship program aimed at empowering marginalized people working in the UK games industry 🎮🎉

Glowmade are thrilled to comprise four members of this year's mentoring cohort, across business development, programming, narrative, voicing and directing for games, Accessibility and QA! It's always great to see how multifaceted our team are, and such a joy to pass on what we know -- and learn new things as we go 💙

Our first sessions have been so much fun already, so we can't wait to see where we and our lovely mentees will be come October 👏

Level up! We joined forces with Guildford College to power up aspiring game devs on their academic journey 💪🎮

Milan (our Release Manager) and Peter (Head of Org. Development) took some time out from the studio to share insights on careers in gaming and the realities of studio life; and wow, the students had some amazing questions!

Phase 2 will be Glowmade hosting an online event where students can pitch their game ideas to our dev team for feedback, and we can't wait! The future of gaming in Guildford is bright 💙

Coming back after a holiday can be hard, with a lot of pressure to hit the ground running and make up for "lost time." But we're taking things at a more explorative pace this month, with a handful of learning workshops cropping up across the team. Because sometimes the best thing to learn about your game is something new!

Today, the designers are getting together to learn about VFX from our resident particle wizard, and QA are Frankenstein-ing enemy code. Maybe we'll even mash 'em together by the end of the week, and see what our initiates unleash 👀🎮
