@Greg_Gaston We saw them lose to the Mets last Thursday but they have been great since. What they’ve done to the Nationals is unheard of. First time EVER a team has hit a go-ahead HR in the ninth in 3 straight games.
@Greg_Gaston Hard to believe it's been empty all these years. A lot of good work happened at 495 Union. I was privileged to work with some amazing journalists.
@thorn_john@Jimfrombaseball Have you been to the replica Crosley Field in Blue Ash OH? They have the original scoreboard, a terrace in the outfield and everything. They use it for kids baseball tournaments.
@johnvarlas I personally think it’s Wilt. Won’t argue with people who say Jordan, but I have always said Wilt. So ranking him No. 9? Removes some credibility for me.
@podoffame@baseball_ref Absolutely great discussion. I would want Carlton on there. I think Kershaw doesn't make it because his postseason numbers were pedestrian. Koufax's 1962-66 may have been the best 5-year run ever. But he left early.
@SainAsylum@DamichaelC No way to measure this — even in today’s analytics — but guys hit the floor more often, it seems. Still … But teams now have so much invested in players that they just don’t go unless they are close to 100 percent. And teams with lousy records don’t want to win.
@tsnmike@sportingnews Mike, you deserve to take it easy. Or at least easier. Your hard work, dedication and talent have been on display for decades! It was a pleasure to work with you.
