After 5 months, our banishment ended: Lithuania suspended the Covid Pass this month.

But it's suspended, not abolished. Politicians—in Lithuania and all Europe—are now laying the foundation for the Pass to become a permanent feature of society.

In just 6 weeks, the Covid Pass has transformed my country into a regime of control and segregation.

This is the new society created in Lithuania, the nation furthest along the path to the authoritarianism inevitably facing all countries which impose a Covid Pass regime:

My country of Lithuania has imposed very severe measures against people who do not have a Covid Pass.

How severe?

• You're banned from large supermarkets.
• Banned from non-essential stores.
• Banned from restaurants.

And a lot more.

For 5 months, we could only pick up a pre-ordered book thru a side door, while people with the Pass could enter and use the facilities as usual.

Now, we too entered thru the front door.

We too went to the reading room.

And we too read books.

Just like everyone else.

And the first thing we did after the Pass?

We finally took our kids to the library again.

They were so happy that they jumped and bounced as they looked at books.

And us? We were so happy that we tried not to cry - or at least, not too much - as we were reading to them.
