Last Sunday, around 4 p.m., a large-scale theft was noted at the Centre cemetery, located on Pierre Flamand Street in Braine-l'Alleud. A total of 232 soldiers' commemorative plaques were stolen, without the military tombstones being directly damaged. On these burials, only the Belgian flag of these soldiers is still visible after this looting.

Emergency services are at a road traffic collision involving a heavy goods vehicle and a car, on the A500 Meremoor roundabout at the end of the Shavington bypass in Barthomley. The road is closed while the incident is being dealt with so please find an alternative route.
