Not shit going on in CFB today so here's my Western Michigan College Football Playoff manifesto:

Week 1- @ Michigan. This is the optics game. very likely L but that's fine. Just cant get embarrassed. Put up a touchdown or 2, dont lose by more than a couple TDs.

Western is a ground and pound team and Michigan historically doesn't run up the score. Already won the mental battle too by Michigan backing out of the game in Germany, its doable.

Week 2- @ Rice. Lowkey trap game. Just get out of Houston with a W. This team has a pulse and can ruin the season. Will be a common opponent for a lot of American teams going for the G5 CFP spot, so blowout will be nice, but not necessary. Take care of business

Week 3- vs Monmouth. 70-0. Fuck it

Week 4- vs Boise State. This is the big one. The trump card game. Win this and we have Western Michigan CFP buzz all conference play. lose and its just another season. Probably going in as underdogs, W will be the biggest home win in program history. Everything rides on this game.

Conference Play- if everything goes to plan at this point WMU is basically the football version of Miami OH basketball last season. Fans will love us, talking heads will want to change rules to keep us out.

Need to go SCORCHED EARTH on the MAC like its 2016 all over again. Any win by less than 2 TDs might as well be a loss, starters dont come out for anything short of a 50 point lead. WMU led the conference in point differential by a mile last season, it will need to be by 2 miles this year.

Last two games are home against Miami and MAC championship. These are the eyeballs games where there cannot be a shadow of a doubt left this team is head and shoulders above the rest of the conference winning convincingly a second straight year

If all goes to plan we have an 11-1 back to back MAC champ. With an American win, a PAC12 win, maybe the best G5 win of the year? And only loss on the road to potentially another CFP team

With massive coaching turnover and realignment happening around about all the great G5 programs, I fully expect this to be the best G5 resume in 2026, and cannot wait to find out what stadium will host me and my Western Michigan Broncos in the first round of the CFP
