UI Kits =/= Design Systems

But what is a UI kit and how does it relate to design systems?

A UI kit is a byproduct of a design system and a piece of the complete ecosystem. For a design system to be successful, there must be a near seamless interchange between design and engineering.

A lot of systems don't get there.

Now we can use variables to manage:
✅ Effects, stroke weight, layer opacity
✅ Layout grids
✅ Nested instances

We just have to wait a little longer to be able to use variables for text properties.

- Individual corner radius
- Effects
- Layer opacity
- Layout grid
