People, it's the 3rd place playoff. Traditionally a bit of fun with lots of goals that's a small tonic for the losing semi finalists' woes. Enjoy the goals. Don't turn it into some sort of "what we could've done" torture. #fraeng
@lfc I sincerely hope the rumours are untrue that #lfc are considering buying a player who only avoided a #rape conviction by paying off his victim. This is not the behaviour I expect, and in this case demand, from my club.
@chromehardttt@MarcoGrandFleet Messi is a legendary talent. No issue there. My issue is the assumption that he's the only player deserving of that accolade. He isn't. I could name 10 in my lifetime that I've had the privilege to watch, and that doesn't include Pele, Puskas, Eusebio, Di Stefano, Charlton etc.
@GorgieOpinion I'm rarely surprised by the things some football fans write, but this failure to understand that the hosts are endowed with a home advantage is baffling. Should we look forward to Antarctica 2038?
@rossobianchi_@LFCLaurie Good assessment. 2006 the best of that lot for sure. France v Spain the pick of the games for me. A Zidane masterclass. 1982, 1986, 1998 were something altogether different. Epic battles between the biggest teams.
@LFCLaurie This one has been really good so far. It's massively ticks the box "unexpected heroes" in Cape Verde. And the big names are putting on a show. But from the last 16 on is where all tournaments are ultimately judged - we need some epic battles between top teams.
