Efficacy of Olaparib Plus Abiraterone 💊 for Patients with Metastatic Castration-resistant #ProstateCancer and Single Homologous Recombination Repair Gene 🧬Mutations in PROpel

The phase 3 PROpel trial demonstrated significantly longer radiographic progression-free survival with olaparib plus abiraterone versus abiraterone alone in first-line mCRPC, with a 7.4-month improvement in median overall survival. Among patients with homologous recombination repair mutations, benefits appeared particularly pronounced in those with BRCA2 alterations, while ATM and CDK12 results also favored combination therapy.
✅ The findings strengthen the role of olaparib plus abiraterone as an important first-line treatment option.
