It is clear that politics is being systematically shut down across Pakistan. In Sindh, the PPP-led government has extended Section 144 and is registering fabricated FIRs. Anyone who resists, be it lawyers, social activists, or peaceful political workers, everyone is being booked simply for exercising their democratic right to dissent. This repression will not silence the struggle for constitutional rights.
