I commented recently about how I tend to hire folks who don’t fit the “expected” mold for infosec - either in education or experience. A few people have reached out, I assume as a result of that thread. So here’s some general advice I’ve given a couple people recently 1/x
Okay - I’ll actually post something on this awful platform for once. HUGE THANK YOU to our awesome #FAFR Relay teams. You folks were awesome and made our first reimagined FAFR a blast. I’m glad you had fun with us! ❤️🤘🏼
This is what questioning all of the life choices that lead you to this point looks like. @GrrCON Hacker Wheel of Family Luck or something like that. #DFIU
This was the most fun @GrrCON for me, personally, in a long time. It had nothing to do with how many of you came out - though that was crazy. Over 2600 tickets actually checked in, which is wild. (1/4)
Folks told me that GrrCON is your favorite because it feels like coming home. It literally is that for me, & that’s my goal for what you get. So thanks to everyone who stopped me to talk about what you love, & share what you’d like to see us do in the future. I took notes. (3/4)
Lock Pick Village at @GrrCON has the Sparrows "The Escort" and it's freaking amazing. Size comparison to my fully loaded Covert Companion. Love the lock mechanism for both the tension tool and the picks! Stop and check it out.
Get ready for @GrrCON!
To close out the week, we’ll be in Grand Rapids, MI, for GrrCON on the 26th and 27th! If you’re at the conference, don’t miss Kevin’s talk, “Forging in Fire: Application Injection Payloads and Norse Mythology.” See you there!
