If you take ANY real nonzero number (not irrational) and add up the digits, then multiply by 3, you’ll always come back to 27 (or -27 if you started with a negative). That’s why it’s one of my favorite numbers. The two step process funnels all starting numbers to 27. 2+7=9x3=27.
