Meet one of Africa's highest-flying birds.
This juvenile Rüppell's Griffon Vulture (Gyps rueppelli) was photographed in South Sudan's Boma–Badingilo Migratory Landscape.
Famous for reaching extraordinary altitudes, this critically endangered scavenger plays a vital role in the Great Nile Migration ecosystem by cleaning up carcasses and helping prevent the spread of disease.
Every species in Boma–Badingilo tells a story, and this young griffon is part of one of Africa's greatest wildlife landscapes.
