RIPPLE PRESIDENT SAYS XRP ETF COULD BE A REALITY, AS RLUSD STABLECOIN EYES MORE EXCHANGE LISTINGS

- @Ripple President Monica Long was optimistic about establishing an XRP Exchange-Traded Fund (ETF) during an interview with Bloomberg on Tuesday.

- Monica believes that more crypto spot ETFs will be established this year in the United States, and XRP will be next in line after Bitcoin and Ethereum.

- “I think we will see one very soon,” Long said, speaking about spot XRP ETFs. “I think that we will see more crypto spot ETFs this year coming out of the US, and I think XRP is likely to be next in line after bitcoin and ether.”

Key Highlights:

- Monica added that the approval of ETF filings will be accelerated with the administration change in the U.S. As of writing, over three firms have filed for an XRP ETF, including Bitwise, 21Shares, and WisdomTree.

- Meanwhile, Ripple plans to make the $RLUSD stablecoin available on numerous top-tier exchanges, expecting it to become a significant part of its payments and money businesses.

- The stablecoin has also been making some moves in the industry since launching on the Ethereum blockchain and XRP Ledger in December 2024;

- On Tuesday, RLUSD adopted the Chainlink standard to boost its utility across numerous DeFi protocols.
