@MichaelShurkin@JeromeDruesne In Canada, even private media go along with government positions not just the publicly funded media.
In the UK, the BBC follows government policies. Not sure about their private media.
In the U.S., it depends on which party the network owners support.
@JeromeDruesne@MichaelShurkin Ironically, when Trump recognized Jerusalem as the capital, it took the state department a while to recognize the city as part of Israel. So for a time, the capital was a separate entity not part of Israel or Palestine.
@sfrantzman Most of the world considers Tel Aviv to be the capital of Israel.
This is because Jerusalem is disputed territory.
The plan is for Israel and Palestine to share Jerusalem and both have their governments there.
Then embassies would move to Jerusalem and serve both countries.

@jaycola The U.S. is closely aligned with nuclear armed Israel and would send troops if necessary.
Also committed to defend Japan and South Korea.
Multiple alliances can exist.
@NewSamawal I assume Geagea wants the 300k Palestinians in Lebanon to move to Palestine. But Israel wonโt let them move to the West Bank or Jerusalem.
@doomernat22 Tamil Tigers may have invented suicide bombings.
IRA also forced people to drive car bombs up to checkpoints and then remotely detonated them.
@Kjell_Anderson@Chart_Camel@JoshDehaas@JesseBrown Both sides in Sudan are bad. It is the people that are suffering.
Canada does hardly any trade with Sudan and it is not strategically important for the West.
@hilalistic@tricx1110 If you are from a poor country, then it takes 10 years.
If you are from the EU, UK, Australia, New Zealand, Canada or US then 5 years
