NASA contractor with focus on EVA, servicing Hubble, and now...on-orbit robotic servicing! Having way more fun than I deserve! My opinions and posts are my own.
The most incredible story of leadership and survival is the epic journey of Sir Ernest Shackleton and his crew. Amazingly, his ship the Endurance has been found in the Weddell Sea off Antarctica 3km deep. https://t.co/Nqn2Acuh2N
Today is the 20th anniversary of my second spacewalk, it changed the way I think about "home." I will always be a New Yorker and a proud American, but after viewing our beautiful planet for those many orbits I realized that my true home is Earth, a home that everyone of us shares
Happy New Year! 🥳
Hubble is kicking off 2022 with a major milestone. The telescope began operations 1 billion seconds ago!
In that billion seconds, Hubble made more than 1.5 million observations and astronomers using Hubble data published more than 19,000 scientific papers.
All instruments on the Hubble Space Telescope are now in operational status, and science data is once again being collected to further our understanding of the universe. https://t.co/1pskum8dXY
I'm sad to hear of the passing of @NASAHubble Engineer Dave Parker after a long battle with ALS. He was an influential & diligent member of the @NASAGoddard team & I learned a lot from him. #NASAScience leadership dedicates this image in his honor: https://t.co/Vnb1G9vRHU
