X (formerly Twitter) is releasing new Terms of Service effective January 15, 2026. I do not accept these new terms. Posts here are mine alone. Find me elsewhere
1. What you see here is clearest illustration why things are so messed up and why it cannot get any better until this asymmetry is addressed.
Put simply: right-wing has narrative dominance.
My org (@mmfa) did this study and been sounding this alarm for years. Some thoughts...
3/ I started using this platform in 2009. Have learned much. Appreciate yous.
Please do find me on Bluesky or Threads or elsewhere (other usual suspects).
Onward!
1/ X is currently suing @mmfa, myself and one of our reporters. This lawsuit is one piece of a larger legal assault, including Trump admin investigations, against Media Matters. We don't talk about it much. Just press on. But, it sure has been tough. It's also refined perspective
2/ Starting January 15, X is updating its terms of service. These terms contain, among other things, new language that attempts to apply a provision to "pending" lawsuits. An attempt to force a retroactive acceptance to something currently in dispute in my case. I don't agree.
Something that this tough-guy rhetoric obscures: if Americaโs primary ambition now is to rule the western hemisphere, that is a substantial demotion of American power
I'm running to ensure your basic necessities, guarantee a dignified existence, curb political corruption, end U.S.-backed human rights abuse & genocide.

BY THE NUMBERS: A new FOX News poll shows most voters believe the White House is doing more harm than good on the economy.
Seventy-six percent of those polled view conditions negatively, and 58% of voters disapprove of the job Trump is doing โ a four-point rise from two months ago.
The government shutdown also dragged down ratings for both parties, especially Minority Leader Schumer.
This is dumb. Really dumb. Really Really Dumb.
Why? Because when you give it to Ins Carriers under the ACA, they have to spend at least 85pct of it on care for plan holders.
When sent to people's HSAs, there is no assurance that the money will be spent on healthcare costs at all.
A recipient can save the money and take it out when they turn 65.
MORE LIKELY , people will get that HSA cash, immediately take it out, pay the 20 pct penalty and buy whatever they want
So your tax dollars could be throwing parties !
Does this mean I like the subsidies going to the big insurance carriers ? No.
It means there are better ways to do this.
Whatever we do, taxpayer money HAS TO GO DIRECTLY TOWARDS PAYING or Guaranteeing NECESSARY MEDICAL CARE.
Sending money to people's HSAs is really dumb
I donโt think itโs mentioned nearly enough that Zohran, who was spectacularly successful among young voters, never used memes in his social media posts.
In July, the FBI and DOJ wrote in their memo that they were not releasing the Epstein files in part because "We did not uncover evidence that could predicate an investigation against uncharged third parties." - and now, after a push from the President, here we are:
Wanna see what it looks like when Fox News devotes an entire segment to the new Epstein emails that discuss Trump -- without anyone ever mentioning what they say?
You know things are looking rough when Megyn Kelly is spending her time today explaining to her audience the difference between a pedo and being into โbarely legalโ
