Most of the timeline argues about which frontend or which protocol is good!
The more useful question is who gets paid, under what conditions, and whether that matches the story being told.🤔
@MastrXYZ The extraction is real. People just keep using the place that takes the cut and then act surprised when it takes the cut.
Self-custody and direct trading exist. Most still pick the one with the better app and the bigger marketing budget, then complain about the fees.
@Faith900822 XRP taking inflows while BTC, ETH, and SOL took outflows is a data point. It is not proof that the flow will continue or that the others are done.
One week of relative strength in flows does not rewrite the larger picture. It only shows where the money went in that window.
@KillaXBT Whether they get hit depends on whether someone is willing to push price there, not on whether the orders are visible. The number is known. The intention is not.
If tokenization and stablecoins are the narrative, Eth can outperform. That is a possible outcome, not a requirement
The people who need it to happen for their bags to work are the ones treating it as certain. The market does not have to follow the story just because it is convenient...
ETH and SOL took more of the week’s damage than BTC...
That is the normal order when people reduce risk. They sell the names that move more 😉
It does not tell you the next move tho' It only tells you where the selling showed up first.
@BitcoinArchive Corporate buying is real demand. It is also demand that does not have to sell if the price goes against it in the short term. That is different from leveraged capital that has to exit when the level breaks. Both can exist at the same time. Only one of them creates the flow...
A weekly close above a number does not tell you who still has size.
Someone can be selling into the strength because they already have the position they wanted, or because they need the cash. The close is the headline. The remaining orders are the part that decides the next session.
BTC held the week better than ETH and SOL.
That usually happens when people cut the risk: What moves more first also goes 1st.
It does not mean the market is healthy, It means the larger hoard absorbed the selling while the others took more of the damage.
Whether the next move is new demand or the same capital rotating back is still open!
Closing above a round number is information. It does not tell you whether the people who were short have already been forced out or whether the same buyers are still there. The weekly close is the headline. Who is left on the other side of the trade is the part that matters for the next session.
A lot of the extreme downside calls right now require something outside the normal range to happen. Most of the time that something does not arrive. The accounts that were early calling the bottom in 2023 are now using the same certainty for the opposite direction...
Just sayin'
The delusion is real. The part that usually finishes the account is not the first bad buy. It is the second and third ones that get larger because the first one already moved without you. Once the size is there to recover the earlier miss, the original reason for being in the trade stops mattering.
@MasterMinion2@WhiteWhaleLabs The problem is not whether it gets big enough to move other books. The problem is when other places start treating that single price as the real one. Once that happens, the damage does not need a waterfall. It only needs the rest of the market to use the number.
@imperooterxbt At least it is said out loud, most of the same behavior still gets posted as “conviction” or “building.” The difference is whether the person doing it is willing to name it or needs the audience to believe a different story....
@MidCurveMortal The distinction is useful. One takes money from a company and is open about it. The other takes money from people who think they are early.... Both are extracting, Only one of them has to pretend the extraction is a community 💯
The idea that a coin needs a news event or a death before it can move is mostly people projecting the last few weeks onto the whole market. Attention can sit in a name for weeks with almost no price movement, then one session changes the distribution The catalyst is often just that enough people who were waiting got tired of waiting
CopyPasta war is real. Everybody’s running their own model and then arguing through screenshots. LoL... Letting two Claudes talk sounds clean until you ask who they answer to. Your model is trained on your chats, your bias, your leftover context. Mine is too. Plug them into each other and you don’t get truth. You get two assistants negotiating on behalf of their owners 🤦🏻♂️
If they ship it, the useful version is simple: show the source, show the prompt, keep a human in the loop.
@WhiteWhaleLabs your trade isn’t based on what the market is doing now. It’s based on hoping everyone else eventually “sees the light” and buys after they become smarter ;)
That’s the clean version of it.
They don’t stay degen all year. They stay solvent. Then when the tape actually changes they size like they mean it.
The part most people copy wrong is the second half. They blast size because they’re bored, not because they know the switch happened.
Survival first. Aggression later. Not the other way around....
