Two years ago, @Alex_Norcia joined @Filtermag_org to report mainly on THR. He did so just astonishingly well, with scoop after scoop, and editing besides. Now he leaves for new pastures.
Thank you for everything, Alex - it's been such a pleasure! And we'll see you around! 🙏
“I keep lozenges and nicotine strips in my pocket just in case my vape gets confiscated.”

@Filtermag_org@davidthekick David was a tremendous writer to work with, and a lovely person. As one small example, he refused (despite my objections) to accept any payment for his work, and instead set up a regular donation to Filter. Heartbreaking news.
We are so terribly sad to learn of @davidthekick's passing. Alongside his other writing (like "The Weight of Air") and advocacy, David wrote for Filter and supported us in other ways. We loved working with him. He inspired us, and will continue to inspire others. ❤️💔
Jon, living in a tent in downtown Portland, is one of many who have switched from injecting black tar heroin to smoking fentanyl "Blues."
“There’s positives and negatives for me," he explains to @MorganGodvin & @kristen_mph:

Since our launch three years ago, we've been able to pursue our mission thanks to *your* support. On #GivingTuesday2021, please consider making a donation to our nonprofit, to help our harm reduction journalism reach millions more people in 2022! 🙏♥️

“This is a watershed milestone,” said Melissa Moore of @DrugPolicyOrg. “If we want to save lives, reduce criminalization, and curb racial disparities, we need comprehensive, innovative, and forward-thinking approaches like OPS.”

It's been a real pleasure having you on our team, @ushoq! Thank you for all the great ideas and reporting 🙌 Good luck with your next steps but don't be a stranger to Filter!!
Our heartfelt thanks to @ushoq, who now concludes her Fellowship at Filter! Check out her work on drugs and many intersecting subjects here: https://t.co/YJys03fBPV💥We've loved working with you over the past months, Umme, & hope you'll stay a regular Filter contributor! ♥️
