With the Public Examinations (Amendment) Bill, 2026, the Modi Government has taken a decisive step to protect millions of aspirants and restore trust in India’s examination system.

Here’s what changes:
✅ Up to 10 years’ imprisonment for organized paper leak offences.
✅ Fines of up to ₹10 crore for major paper leak rackets.
✅ Action against mafias, middlemen, corrupt officials, service providers, and tech enablers.
✅ Stronger cyber security, better coordination, and a high-level committee for future exam reforms.

The students' protest in Jharkhand is an example of what a protest should be.

It is peaceful, respectful, and rejects symbolic gestures, like demanding someone be fired, in favor of actionable, long-term policy solutions. They want structural reform: an independent CBI probe into recruitment scandals, permanent blacklisting and prosecution of corrupt vendors, age-limit relaxations for affected candidates, fixed annual exam calendars, and complete transparency in evaluation processes.

Driven entirely by real, ground-level aspirants with no political agenda, the movement maintains a strict distance from all political parties.

This is precisely the kind of cause around which the nation's youth, civil society, self proclaimed apolitical social commentators, and "concerned" celebrities ought to rally. However, because these students lack the funding to hire influencers or celebrities to transform their struggle into a viral, pop-culture trend that everyone wants to be a part of and also don't have the backing of student organisations that have the resources, methods and influence to force governments to the table, their movement will be unfairly overlooked.

भर्ती परीक्षाओं में कथित पेपर लीक, भ्रष्टाचार और अनियमितताओं के खिलाफ जेपीएससी-जेएसएससी अभ्यर्थी जयपाल सिंह मुंडा स्टेडियम में एक सप्ताह से अधिक समय से अनिश्चितकालीन धरने पर बैठे हैं। प्रदर्शनकारी पारदर्शी भर्ती प्रक्रिया, निष्पक्ष जांच और दोषियों के खिलाफ कार्रवाई की मांग कर रहे हैं।

कई अभ्यर्थियों का कहना है कि सीमित संसाधनों के कारण वे बिस्कुट और सादे भोजन के सहारे आंदोलन जारी रखे हुए हैं। इसी बीच JSSC PGT से जुड़ा एक मामला भी चर्चा में है, जिसमें दावा किया जा रहा है कि एक महिला अभ्यर्थी को 300 में 299 अंक मिलने के बावजूद चयन नहीं मिला।

सोशल मीडिया पर सवाल उठ रहे हैं, जब दूसरे आंदोलनों में Zomato, Swiggy और Blinkit के जरिए भोजन व सामान भेजा गया, तो झारखंड के आंदोलनकारी छात्रों तक ऐसी मदद क्यों नहीं पहुंच रही? CJP अब कहाँ है?
