@RalfDMueller Grails #grailsfw plugin system makes it easy to create modular applications on the JVM. Then I would probably pick Vuetify @vuetifyjs as the view layer. Because it’s awesome and enables old grumpy backend developers like me to create UIs that don’t suck. 😊

@musketyr @micronautfw FYI: Both our systems that we upgraded from Micronaut 2.5.13 to 3.6.0 (32 unique microservices) has been running in production for a week now. No issues. It almost went too smooth. Something must be wrong 😀

While others have vacation, I'm doing massive yak shaving. In 5 days I upgraded 28 microservices from Micronaut 2.5.13 to 3.6.0. Including migration from RxJava2 to Project Reactor. All tests are green, and two end-user applications deployed to staging. ✅ #micronautfw

@musketyr @micronautfw I use Elasticsearch but not Micronaut’s support. I use the elasticsearch-java client dependency directly, and had no issues. But thanks for the warning. Elasticsearch 7.x -> 8.x have a lot of breaking changes, but Micronaut still uses 7.x I think, so I’m surprised you had issues.

@musketyr @micronautfw I migrated a few services to 3.x in the past and I also experienced incompatibility issues with code compiled with Micronaut 2.x. That was one of the reasons I decided to lock myself into a room for a week and marathon migrate all of them to 3.x
