The country has been ruled by its only Regime since 1991 , Isaias Afwerki, creating what the UN describes as a pervasive climate of political repression, surveillance, and fear.

US @USStateDepartm1 and EU @eu_eeas and others believe that Pres. Isaias Afwerki of #Eritrea can be swayed to become a trusted partner in the Horn of Africa - they should read my latest article in @JoDemocracy «Eritrea’s Democratic Failure» to learn that’s a pipe dream.
At least 65 Ethiopian migrants are facing imminent execution in Saudi Arabia for alleged drug-related offenses — a reality that exposes not only the brutality of capital punishment, but also the vulnerability of African migrants caught in systems that deny them fair trials, dignity, and protection.
The Blue Revolution stands firmly against all forms of injustice, whether it is transnational repression, systemic discrimination, or the abuse of state power against the most vulnerable. Silence in moments like this is complicity.
We call for the immediate commutation of these death sentences and demand a global reckoning with the use of the death penalty as a tool of control rather than justice. True justice does not execute — it protects, reforms, and upholds human dignity.

@Hawelti#Eritrea boast about fake reliance but still took aid, for people to depend on with relatives supporting hem from diaspora of course. There was no way the dictator & regime would use their money laundering like remittances to help their people, that’s for personal gain!
A live recording from Africa's poorest nation #Eritrea. Unelected president Isaias Afwerki & regime generates BILLIONS USD from illegal mining by Alpha Explorations Ltd & Nevsun Resources Ltd using modern day slavery. & Human Trafficking Network with account linked to regime!🚨
@BurushAlex This is so heartbreaking! This is why @Eritrea_UN must step down from her position as VP at @UN's General Assembly. If Ms. Sophia can't represent her people accurately because she rather support the regime that lines her pocket, what good can she do for the people of this world?
The #Eritrean dictator regime’s record is not a “difference”—it is systemic oppression. Indefinite conscription, silenced voices, and mass exile are realities. Any engagement that ignores this only deepens the suffering of ordinary Eritreans. @CPC_HQ@PierrePoilievre#EBRF
As Eritrea marks June 20 Martyrs’ Day, questions about war, accountability, and political transition remain unanswered. The sacrifice of the fallen deserves truth and transparency. He was asked by @washingtonpost 🇰🇪“HOW MANY 🇪🇷 TROOPS ARE DIED IN TIGRAY?”👇

@Gaji06357888@Yonijoni3@Yonijoni3 to be fair don’t also forget #Eritrean liberation fighters who have been detained incommunicado for years without charge, trial, or any evidence of wrongdoing. Their sacrifice for Eritrea must not be erased.
