Viktor Hovland on the crowds at the Travelers:
"It was amazing. Obviously the home crowd was rooting for Scottie, he's the best player in the world, we're in the United States of America, that goes, that's just kind of how it goes. But I thought it was super exciting. The crowds were super respectful and it just really motivated me to play better. Obviously with some Norwegian jerseys out there it brought the vibes, and I think the American crowds thought it was cool as well. I thought it made the event a lot more enjoyable, I think. So, yeah, it was just a blast to play at a great golf tournament, a great golf course, in front of great fans. And, yeah, it was an absolute blast."

This is a crime and should be prosecuted as such
Committing a crime on a basketball court doesn’t make it less of a crime
This is an aggravated assault
Jack Nicklaus' steel driver shaft was approximately 130 grams in weight (roughly double what is used today) and he had to tip it to make it stiff enough to handle his swing speed. That weight limited the club in length because the club would be too heavy to swing at a longer length. Average height of tour players back then was well under 6 ft. As shafts became lighter and especially, stiffer they could be lengthened and that opened the game to taller, bigger, stronger and more athletic players. Today's tour players average well over 6 ft. tall. I'm not convinced the game needs changes but assuming it does, regulating shaft weights and stiffness would certainly slow down club speed. Golf shafts are already bifurcated in the sense that amateur golfers almost never play a "tour shaft" in terms of flex and weight. I can assure you that players would not be pursuing 125MPH of club head speed with a heavier shaft that was soft enough to make timing and rhythm more important. This is a complicated problem that does not have a "simple" solution like changing the ball.
I challenge you to find another 2 foot putt anywhere that takes 20 seconds to get to the hole.
The famous 15th hole on Gullane No 3 provides an endless amount of options.
All smart? No.
All fun? Yes.
One of the most fun holes on the planet!
@saultiegaultie@KurtSupeCPA If drawing down monthly throughout the year how do you "not sell assets when the market is down" in a year such as this (crazy ups and downs)? (I have a now bucket).

At my nephew's wedding yesterday we did the dance where all the married couples start on the dance floor before bowing out based on how long they've been married.
This couple was the last one dancing. 64 years!!!
Can you imagine how many shanks and misses they've had over that time? How many bunkers? I can only imagine how many times they were tempted to yell, "I hate this game. I quit."
But they kept taking the Next Shot. Trust me, as we watched them dance, there was no regret on their faces for the journey they've been on. Only pep in their step!
Golf is hard. Life can be harder. But man, that Next Shot has so much hope and opportunity, you string enough of them together and beautiful things happen.
Keep swinging. Keep dancing. I'm rooting for you!
What an amazing story: One year after the Charlevoix boys golf team was involved in a horrific car crash -- miraculously, they all survived, but their coach and a star player were in really bad shape -- the Rayders today have won the 2026 state championship.
