Kids are resilient! I’d say give them a chance to hit a few greens in regulation, don’t treat kids like they need to be Tiger Woods, let parents talk with and give some occasional instruction to kids. @uskidsgolf is doing it the right way. Shorter courses, more parent involvement
12yo son playing in @wjga jr golf tournament. Crazy rules here:
1. 6790 yards for 12yo kids. 580 par 5. On a great drive my boy hits it 200 (not bad for his age). Same yards I play as a scratch golfer driving 270-280
2. No talking to your own kid
3. Must walk on opposite side of hole as your kid
Advice:
1. Play reasonable tees
2. Let us talk to our pre teenagers!
3. Let us walk with our kids
4. When it’s 95° outside and there is no water on the course and you can’t even buy any drinks you probably should provide some.
Sincerely,
-Concerned Dad
My two boys watching @bryanbrosgolf while hitting balls on the golf simulator this morning. They then shoot 4 under together in a 9 hole scramble! Great instruction @bryanbrosgolf
I made the mistake of trying out some @AsherGolf clothes during the Black Friday sale. Turns out they are the best clothes I’ve ever warn and I’ve got a whole new wardrobe I didn’t know I needed.
