@unusual_whales The question should more be along the lines of: was the actual additional risk taken adequately compensated (usually it's not), and has the outperformance persisted long term (usually it has not), but cool!
@moxie@KennyAJoseph@ProtonPrivacy Thanks for making this! FYI, they do claim far more:
"Thanks to zero-access encryption, the conversations you save can only be decoded and read on your device. Proton can never see them, and neither can anyone else."
A more detailed comparison from your view would be awesome.
@ianzelbo I don’t think the overall “footprint” is dramatically different in terms of wearing Whoop vs wearing a watch. But if you absolutely don’t want a watch and don’t mind paying for the subscription cost then sure why not.
It’s wild AF that people talk about something funded by extortion with threat of state force as “free”. Yeah costs are moved from “out of pocket” to “paid with taxes” but there is nothing free about the arrangement in any sense of the word.
It’s the same everywhere with varying degree of enshittification.
@_avdept@catalinmpit Maybe some extra/premium features could be worth a paid tier
Question: Would your app also work with Emby (I think Jellyfin was based on this)?
Looks like a sweet app!
@thekitze Recently switched to a MacBook Air + iPhone and then Apple Watch
What I see people complaining about on this side barely even registers as a blip for me compared to all the annoyances I had before vs all the things that are a better experience now
@tjewlius For a single page, a landing page or something, simple html/css/js ✅
Reaching for more can make sense if the project is a bit bigger than that imo
