Had to go back to this tweet from @stevendeknight who wrote, produced, and created 4 shows that made me want to become an actor/writer. My friends are incensed every weekend I don’t drive to the valley to hang 🤣 I have to write! Plus 3 self tapes. One day it will be so worth it.

Same. 7 1/2 years working a day job then writing at night. And all weekend. My friends stopped inviting me out because 90% of the time, I’d say, thanks, but I have to write. It’s tough to break, tough to stay in. But 1000% worth the effort and sacrifice.
