What I like to do is check their suite of tests. Sometimes they don't even have a single test, which is sad really, so then I suggest they start working with TDD. Write the tests first, then the implementation.
That way they can slowly grow their suite, catch errors earlier, gain confidence on their product and connect it to their CI workflow. And then they can go to sleep peacefully for god sake.
I mean, building something complex and valuable and then being affraid or confused about your own creation is just sad.
Too many good ideas die in production. I want to change that for founders building with AI.
Grateful for 15 years writing software and every bug that taught me something. From Argentina 🇦🇷.
I'm an indie dev & founder, and I help founders take their AI-built apps from prototype to real users.
Indie hackers, devs, founders 👋 What are you building, and what stage is it at (idea, MVP or paying users)?
@TalkDoc@Base44@bot@Lovable@supabase Hi Colleen, I can help you out with anything you need, just let me know, I'm a dev from Argentina with +15 years of experience and I help founders who vibe code applications before they have issues in Production.
@DrewKinsman1@Lovable Hey Drew, nice to meet you. I help founders who vibe code just like you. I'm a dev with +15 years of experience. If you need a second pair of eyes to check something, you can count with me. I will be waiting for your message.
@ScanSetuPay@Lovable Hey, I hope you were able to figure that out... If you ever need a hand with anything let me know, that's what I do. I'm a dev with +15 years of experience helping founders who vibe-code. Congrats on the amount of users though! That's huge!
@ecomchrisxx Hey, were you able to figure things out? If you ever need a pair of eyes to help you with something, let me know, I'm a dev with +15 years of exp and I help founders just like you.
@Nachoo0p Hey Nacho, nice to meet you. Congrats on the app, looks sleek. If you ever need a second pair of eyes to look at something let me know, would love to help you out, I'm a runner myself too and a dev that helps founders with their projects.
@EtienRemi20687@Dragon37983788 This is a great time to build and we should be able to deploy to PROD with confidence. Too many great ideas die in production, and we can't afford to loose users to bugs we don't see in time.
@Dragon37983788 I'm mostly focused on helping founders these days, and I'm putting together a small private group so we can deploy with confidence and learn from each other.
@timgrassin Playwright is a huge addition, I'm glad you find it. If you ever need a second brain or any help to check your app for PROD, count with me, would love to help, that's what I do.
@pedroza_yovanni Felicitaciones Yovanni, tremenda iniciativa.
@SchweigerOM@solopribuilds The thing about working in a closed environment like Shopify is that you don't have to worry about a ton of features, infrastructure and security, so is not super related to being a developer really.
@SchweigerOM@solopribuilds Well no, these are two different things. What you can do with AI and no experience is not going to be the same I can do with AI and 15 years of experience.
@ChadHen35255604@Base44 Hey Chad, cool project. Are customers already using it day to day? I'm a developer and one of the things I do as a paid service is check apps built with AI tools before more customers come in. If that's ever useful, happy to chat.
