@fandompulse Yeah... Taken from a guy who was, once, a lead in gaming dev and nowadays a youtuber, doesn't get much rent in terms of validity. But thanks.
@TheRealRastov Santa Monica don't play. I know they have a broth of fucking awesome shit, they're thinking universe expanse, lead one story into another. As to the 'female prog' issue, fucking hell. Posers care. Real gamers don't care about who they play, just that it's amazing.
@Spectre799games Jesus, ungrateful much. Fucking Christ, you literally laid out the means for them doing this... People, yes people still make games, need a break. As the young and idiotic say, let them cook, ffs. This screams emasculation.
And I'm sorry but is it just me or is this the fucking way to do #UntilDawn sequals:
Until Dawn
Survive Until Dawn
Can You Survive Until Dawn
#UntilDawn2 is just weak play tbh. 10/10 will still play though 😅
@Bungie has max 1 year before Playstation gives them the boot. Y'all had a great IP and yet chose to do what every newbie could, an extraction shooter. You put so much into that season 2 trailer I thought you'd changed your stars. Alas. If story driven, that'd be epic, though.
"I'm always drawn to characters who have no idea of the impression they're making on other people. We're all delusional, really, and I love that about us humans and I love playing it" - Catherine O'Hara
Truer words never said, my dear. RIP

Bruh... I have no idea how to get higher powered gear in #Destiny2 anymore 🤦♂️ Playing the campaign and loot is MIN, for reals. Where's... Where's the loooooot!?
@hot_tamales32@SandfallGames Another game is in the works, I believe 'Clair Obscure' is the franchise name (similar to Final Fantasy), so whilst probably not a direct sequel of sorts, it will be in the same universe. Hopefully it's about the writers, though! That'd be epic!!
DISCUSSION: You don’t have to be an RPG or a turn-based fan to enjoy Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, and you don’t neee a resume of experience to voice your enjoyment and appreciation of it🚀
You don’t have to have a resume of experience with JRPGs, Sony games, Octopath Traveler, Baldur’s Gate or Persona to be able to appreciate COE33
You don’t have to play stylized, pixelated, 2D and anime games to prove to the world that you are eligible to enjoy and evaluate COE33.
I’ve been reading too many entitled and elitist posts attacking this game and its fans for merely appreciating something new and amazing, and this isn’t insinuating that other games in this style don’t exist.
They do exist. But one would be naive to imagine the likes of Octopath Traveler having the same mainstream appeal is a photorealistic AAA-like game.
CO:E33 brought everything from visuals to voice acting to world depth and detail to character writing to gameplay and fun factor and storytelling all together in one package, and again, that doesn’t mean anime is bad, nor that a game has to be European-looking to be good. I tend to favor Final Fantasy and NieR anyway, and I loved CO:E33 because it had obvious inspirations from those two, among others.
I love Japanese storytelling and characters, and I do enjoy anime as well. But it’s mainly the photo realistic art style and cinematic storytelling that is often more mainstream and favorite over stylized or pixelated or cartoon art style, and E33 just so happened to be in a style that made it mainstream, and this isn’t a bad thing.
It doesn’t make it a “move game” nor does it make it “entry level” into the genre. It got popular because it gave players so much of what they love, and if it happens to invite more people into the genre, or to be their only experience of that style, it is ok.
CO:E33 is a testament that a studio can accomplish so much in just one game, without compromising on other elements, and whether the creators were inspired by other games, doesn’t mean you owe them to be a fan of those games as well to enjoy this game.
Gaming is about why you enjoy, and NOT about proving anything to anyone or earning anyone’s approval to join a fictional “club”🎤
