I know it’s just the 1st preseason game but this defense is what we want to see more consistently from Julius Randle. Thibs has him play like a free safety if his man is a non threat offensively & if he can make these reads it would go a long way to improving NYK team defense. He isn’t an elite shot blocker but he is a big body that could give opponents a tough time to score over just by being in the right place at the right time. Last clip on this video is a great team defensive possession by the whole squad forcing a travel. #NewYorkForever

Julius Randle looks to be in tremendous shape. Randle has more to improve at in his game. He said earlier this summer that he feels his physical attributes & his mental fortitude are merging. I’m confident he will be even better & become a bonafide star. Conversation will be different a year from now.

@OptimisticJets This is exactly why I didn’t want him. None of these plays ever happen on an NFL field. You don’t get this much time or have huge miss-matches down the field. Quick decision making, timing, and anticipation is what the pros are about - Not just arm talent.
