DO NOT pull apart the upcoming 8-page Reform newspaper going out to 15m homes across the country so it’s in individual sheets, before sending them to Reform’s freepost address one at a time. If enough people do this it would cost them a fortune, which is very bad and unfair.
The new White House press secretary, Katie Zacharia, claims the abortion pill contains the same chemicals used in Nazi extermination camps. Fact: Mifepristone was developed in 1980 in France. It doesn’t share a single chemical component with any of the Nazis’ chemicals or gases.
I note that politicians and journalists have been falling over themselves in praise of Lord Jeffrey Archer who has died aged 86. I don’t share that view.
Back in 1987 Archer sued the Daily Star for libel after they reported he had paid for sex with a prostitute.
Thanks to his lies in the witness box he was awarded £500K in damages, a record at the time. Actually the paper was right he had had paid £6K for her services.
The editor, a talented Aussie called Lloyd Turner who had done a great job for the paper, was fired by the idiot owner who preferred to believe a politician than his own staff.
That verdict left Turner, according to his wife, a broken man, and he died five years later at 57.
So, he never had the pleasure, some six years later, of seeing Archer, being jailed for perjuring himself and forced to hand back the £500K.
Archer’s lies destroyed Turner’s career and hurried the end of his life.
Disgracefully, that story has been ignored by the good and great in the hagiographies.
Public service broadcasting is more important than ever in an age when it’s increasingly difficult to tell truth from lies and the market favours extremism.
@TheCyberdevil Thankfully they seem to have fixed that now. And that means all the animated missing episodes are now on iPlayer. I’d say that makes it time for some more to be released 🙂
@PeterElston1 The papers have to supply their covers to the BBC (and everyone else who previews tomorrow’s papers) and The Sun often doesn’t seem to do so, so it’s frequently missing from these round-ups.
The lovely people at Fabulous Films have given me one of these to give away.
You will get it a couple of weeks before it's released.
All you have to do is retweet this tweet & I will select a winner at random.
Good Luck!!

Riddle me this. If somebody donates £36 million to a political party and £5 million to its leader, how is the £5 million not political? Asking for a parliamentary standards commissioner.
