Because public interest communication couldn’t be more important these days, excited to share the cover art for our forthcoming publication - a methods guide to designing, developing and evaluating public interest communication. Coming soon.
We’re happy to announce these insights are now captured in our draft guide for public interest communicators. With thanks to @jolwalton and @SussexUni this will be published later this year. Early exposure draft here for any feedback! https://t.co/BquytLDg2d
Four things that will help you build a public interest comms strategy: 1) a social change model, this one’s from ITAD; 2) Prochaska’s transtheoretical change model; 3) CPIC’s “The Science of What Makes People Care”; 4) an audience segmentation analysis (opinion research).
The last item is the only one which costs $, but big organizations are commissioning these all the time: on a range of issues & in countries all over the world. Hopefully we’ll be able to share some of them soon as we build a central data hub for public interest communicators.
With thanks to @jolwalton and @SussexUni I’m very pleased to share this draft @goodplacecomms guide to help resource-constrained communicators design, deliver and evaluate public interest communication. Any feedback welcome! https://t.co/rFvmnCYbnq
