@K10Spells@SassySouthBlond My gma was wild. She married a WWII sailor on leave on a dare. She had been married to a bootlegger as a teen and claimed to have been divorced (she never got the divorce). My gma and gdad were married over 50 yrs (til death) and had 8 kids.
@hollowearthterf Yes. I felt myself on the receiving side of his rant, because I've been on that side. You stayed quiet and dared not respond in any way, even to change facial expression, because it would escalate and it would be very bad when it did.
@dalepartridge This mythology of yours is just the next in line of others to pass into history and make way for the next grab. I'm sorry for you, in a way. But it's how it works.
@MattWalshBlog I'm going to help whichever human is suffering or in threat of perishing, regardless of country or religious affiliation. But I'm definitely not a Christian, nor am I any brand of theist, so I may be coming from a "darker" place on my selflessness.
@charitabee@36FordCoupe@_nomadic_soul I'm sure that happens a lot when one or both partners refuse to compromise. I'm soo grateful my husband and I are not those types of people. We've NEVER had to deal with an impasse (and we're in our 60s now). Ever. We NEVER have argued or fought. We work through things together.
@_nomadic_soul Yes, ma'am. We're best friends, "business" partners, and passionate lovers. We've never had an argument or fight or raised our voices EVER and we're in our 60s now. We discuss differences rationally with open minds. I wish everyone, man or woman, could experience this.
@RoCa74394915@godlywomanhood And the "that will teach her" comment...
Maybe she will enjoy having less work with him gone, or enjoy the childfree downtime when they are with dad. Plus dad can now be a single father and do his own cleaning, cooking, laundry after his workday, as well as do it for his kids.
@michaelmiraflor Seems like it's every generation for the foreseeable future. I'm a Boomer. Some of us still have parents we are caring for and have spent our savings, refinanced homes, etc to do so. Not much left for our children now, and I suppose none left after we need care.
