This is a critical, urgent report from the ground on the escalating crisis in Tanzania. Focus on Sekou-Toure Region Refferal Hospital we report the devastating situation at the Sekou-Toure Region Refferal Hospital, where credible local sources indicate the presence of a large number of casualties resulting from the ongoing political violence.

Unofficial figures saying the death toll being handled at this single facility exceeds 200 individuals.

Allegations of State-Sanctioned Violence the victims are alleged to have been killed during recent operations carried out by combined security forces.

These forces reportedly include the Tanzania Police Force and foreign military personnel (allegedly from Uganda), operating under the direction of the government led by President Samia Suluhu Hassan.

Nationwide Scope of the Crisis while the footage and reports from Sekou-Toure Region Refferal Hospital highlight a severe tragedy in the Lake Zone, the same pattern of violence and security force brutality is reportedly being witnessed in nearly every region across Tanzania.

The images and videos circulating represent only a fraction of a much broader nationwide human rights crisis.

Call for Immediate Action

3.Restore Communications: Demand the immediate restoration of all internet and telecommunications services to ensure transparency and prevent further rights violations under the cover of a blackout.

Security situation report: The safety of Tanzanians is in a very bad state. Here are some of the regions and the number of deaths recorded:

1.⁠ ⁠Mbeya Region – more than 25 dead and 72 injured in the constituencies of Kyela, Rungwe, Mbeya Rural, Mbeya Urban, and Mbarali.
