As Chair and earliest investor in @maritimelaunch, it is incredible to see this milestone after 8.5 years.
The Government of Canada has just selected **Spaceport Nova Scotia** as the dedicated sovereign launch site for National Defence.
A landmark 10-year, $200M agreement with DND gives Canada independent orbital access from our own soil for the first time ever.

The NHL Alumni Association is saddened to learn that Lowell MacDonald has passed away at the age of 84.
From Thorburn, Nova Scotia, Lowell made his NHL debut for the Detroit Red Wings on December 30, 1961. After his time with Detroit, Lowell later played for the Los Angeles Kings and the Pittsburgh Penguins, respectively.
Lowell appeared in 506 games over the course of his NHL career, playing in two All-Star games in 1973 and 1974. After recovering from severe knee injuries before the 1972-73 NHL season, Lowell recorded 34 goals and 75 points, earning the Bill Masterton Memorial Trophy for his perseverance and dedication to hockey.
During his off-seasons as a player, Lowell earned both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree. After retiring from hockey, Lowell dedicated himself to education, proudly serving as a teacher, Athletic director, and coach for 20 years.
We send our deepest condolences to Lowell’s beloved wife, Joyce, their sons Lowell and Lane, the entire MacDonald family, and to all those who knew him.
