What’s the strange relatively new iOS feature that puts a blue underline under your words with suggestions of horrible ways to misspell words you’ve spelled correctly?
@dyaroshev Totally. For some reason I thought you were speaking to the more dense and dated Meyers Effective C++ tome from early 00s. I’ll have to check out these newer suggestions.
@rakyll My experience has and continues to be similar. Right tool for the job and status of tooling support. EC2 ASG, ECS, and Lambda all have strong support, and internal tooling is flexible enough to make even more diverse choices. ECS acts as bridge between pre/post native.
@guidovbrakel@damienguard My man wrote some T4 template code that when rendered to actual C# was not valid and in fact was so unexpected by VS’s syntax parser that VS just up and crashed. He provided a single .cs repro to the parser team. They fixed the bug in VS, added unit tests. Fin.

@tha_rami In the 90s, there were patches for PC games for sure. You would grab the patch from a BBS (official or otherwise) or you sent a letter. In ‘92, Batman Returns crashed on load for PC. I sent Konami a letter and they sent a patch on 3.5” floppy. Took weeks.
